For the last 20 years, he has specialized in the acquisition and redevelopment of Brownfield properties including urban mixed-use, residential and commercial assets. He has served in various executive positions throughout his career, including as a partner and managing director of a $2 billion international Brownfield investment fund and redevelopment company where he was responsible for the acquisition and redevelopment of Brownfield sites across the US, Europe and Canada. He has directed the acquisition or disposition of over $1 billion of real estate assets.
Mr. Dillow graduated from University of Central Missouri with a degree in Construction Management, which has been supplemented by several Executive Education courses from Harvard Business School.

Vice President, Business Development
Nick Heinzelman is Vice President of Acquisitions for Real Estate Recovery Capital and applies his extensive experience in banking, government and real estate to analyzing and negotiating investment opportunities and overseeing due diligence and closing activities. Previously Mr. Heinzelman spent 3 years with The Heritage Group as Real Estate Manager handling all aspects of real estate transactions and 10 years as an Executive Director with the State of Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources where he managed the Division of Land Acquisition.
Mr. Heinzelman graduated from Ball State University and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. He has been involved with several non-profit boards in the greater Indianapolis, Indiana area.

Vice President, Acquisitions
Doug Opell is the Director of Environmental Operations for Real Estate Recovery Capital where he evaluates environmental risks with the intended long-term use of the property in mind and uses a variety of approaches to eliminate and control exposure and risks. Mr. Opell has worked with various environmental and earth science consulting firms since 1980. His environmental assessment and remediation projects include work with a variety of contaminants associated with historical operations at industrial facilities including petroleum retail and petroleum refining sites.
Mr. Opell’s educational background includes BA and MS degrees in Geology from Indiana University. In his spare time, he enjoys reading John McPhee books, golf, and traveling to geologically interesting sites with his family.

Director of Environmental Operations
Liz Ewbank is the Business Operations Manager for Real Estate Recovery Capital, where she orchestrates all day-to-day operational details, including internal reporting and marketing. She brings a background in process creation, project management, key account management, marketing, and sales. In her most recent position as Sales Director at Keter Environmental Services, she and her team initiated and expanded sustainable waste and recycling programs across portfolios for retail, office and multi-family real-estate investment companies.
Ms. Ewbank graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Management and is pursuing a real estate broker license. She has served on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit and volunteers as an Upwards soccer coach.
